The channel combiner, 4008 119 40460, is used for adding separate TV channels to enable distribution of the combined signals on cable systems. The unit is designed for broadband operation in the range 40 to 890 MHz without tuning.
16 inputs are available with individual gain adjustments allowing the channels at the outputs to be adjusted to equal level. The broad range of Philips modulators/converters such as PM 5597/5598, PM 5581/5582 and PM 5671/5672
can be connected to the inputs.

The combined signals are split up to 8 outputs each carrying all the signals available at the inputs.
The maximum output level is 94 dBuV (50 mV) peak sync level, Power inserters are built into the outputs
for the supply of Philips cable distribution amplifiers of the LHB 8300 series with 24 V DC through the coax cables.

Space is available inside the channel combiner for 3 power supplies type PE 1264 or PE 1114. The power supplies have to be ordered separately, and at least one unit of the above mentioned types is necessary to supply the internal amplifiers.
